Your contribution today allows Peace and Hope to respond in the face of horrific disaster in the Valparaiso region of central Chile. Earlier this year, deadly wildfires ravaged entire residential communities, leaving behind the charred remains of loved ones and homes. Before the fires were under control Peace and Hope immediately responded, working with local churches and in coordination with local municipalities and the National Office of Religious Affairs (ONAR) of Chile, to provide water tanks, food, clothes and emergency supplies to victims.
We continue to provide a hotline for access to mental health professionals, as well as weekly food & supplies boxes for 100 families who lost everything. We are seeking funds so we can continue to provide this for 6 months, as well as helping with the cleanup and reconstruction process. The cost per month of helping a family is $1000 USD. The more given, the more families we can bless! We can't do this alone. Please, join us in giving love and compassion in these tangible ways to hurting families in our community.
WHO WE ARE:
Founded in South America, Peace and Hope (known as Paz y Esperanza in Spanish) is committed to integral mission, peacebuilding and promoting justice. Over the past 27 years, Peace and Hope has grown and expanded throughout Latin America, mobilizing Christian leaders, local churches and communities as they work to respond and prevent violence against children, women, and other vulnerable groups. When disaster strikes, we respond with love and compassion, from anguish to hope.
We appreciate your partnership and support to continue working in Latin America alongside individuals, families and communities in poverty, so that they can live with dignity, free from violence and injustice. Together we can walk the path of following the ways of Jesus, seeing His Kingdom advance, bringing peace and hope into our world!
