ABOUT PEACE AND HOPE INTERNATIONAL:
Peace and Hope International appreciates your support to continue serving marginalized individuals, families and communities in Latin America. Its projects have various business costs, including the cost of receiving international volunteers and interns. We are so grateful that a number of young people around the world are interested in learning and serving with our teams in the national Paz y Esperanza field offices. Your help is essential since the volunteers have to raise part of the cost associated with their participation in the work.
Peace and Hope International (PHI) is a 501(c)(3) organization in the United States. this means that qualifying donations to PHI can be tax-deductible if the proper procedures and rules are followed.
Although funds given on behalf of a participant are credited to the participant's fundraising goal, donors should be aware that in accordance with IRS guidelines, tax-deductible donations are being donated to Peace and Hope International and not to the participant directly. Contributions are donated with the understanding that PHI has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.
* According to IRS guidelines, tax-deductible gifts may not be restricted for the sole benefit of an individual. Although your gift will be counted toward the participant's fundraising goal, PHI must retain sole control and discretion over the use of the funds once a tax-deductible receipt is issued. The tax-deductible gift is non-refundable, even if the participant through which the gift was made becomes unable or unwilling to participate in the project.
